1. I thought creating the logo was a fun and creative process that allowed me to channel some of the new materials I learned into something that can be beneficially to me professionally and artistically. 2. The process for developing my logo was very intricate at the start I went through of phase uncertainty about the artistic approach I should take and what things I thought might define me. Then after looking at the extensive amount of material you gave us to prep for creating a logo I narrowed down some solid options and concluded that using my last name and the professional field I want to enter along with a complementary image would be great. 3. I discovered your brand doesn't have to be an immediate reflection of who you are currently but maybe who you want to become. 4. I learned that the images and words are very powerful tools that we rely on heavily in our society and that the often used in graphic design to create a persona or brand for a specific thing.

Art Gallery Visit Responses: In the Art Gallery there was a section to the far back on the first floor specifically for various works of pieces titled Shark Girl: Never Quite There by Casey Millard. The selections of work were all unique and artistic and their own right but I found the subject of a Shark girl to be highly disturbing. A sharks head placed on a child's body is peculiar enough but for him to use this as the focal point of so many pieces is a incredible strange. Another piece I thought was impressionable was Vincent Van Gogh, La Maison de la Crau (The Old Mill). The piece is an oil canvas painting which was published in 1888 and I as soon as I glanced at the piece it had my attention. The painting was instantly recognizable as a work of Van Gogh and I really think it had tone that quickly aroused viewers attention. Richard Anuszkiewicz's Convex, Concave 1 Dimensional is a work that was completely in 1967. The cube was created with  Lacquered...

Discuss what you thought about creating the Value Scale and Color Wheel. I think that they were both significant task that reinforced some artistic principles and theories through the experience of creating works that validated information we've been learning throughout the semester. 2. Photos Reflection Journal

dgriffin2260's library on Photobucket The process for completing this project was rather tedious and somewhat confusing at times the idea of a project where you have to create photos using the composition and principles of design did bring me some joy though. To begin the project I made diagram of each of the elements and principles respectively and jotted down some shot possibilities under each that could \work for them then I chose a few different locations where I could find each of the shots. For the balance shot I drifted from my car towards Hotel Henry in search of framing something symmetrically and I was honestly quite surprised as inched closer towards the building and stepped into the intersection to see how the unique the architecture of the building made capturing it difficult. For my shape shot, I had seen some photos online of people shooting through benches so as I traveled towards the hotel garden I eased up close to the benches with my camera and knelt level wi...
1. Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting. Color is a visual element made evident by the refraction of light which is also used in various different ways to evoke emotion. The emotional effects of color can be quite different among different cultures, in America warmer colors like red are normal used to co-notate love and romance or others time anger and vengeance.  2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why? Color has many philosophical and theoretical principles used to define and inform our understanding of it. A trick a find interesting from theories surrounding color is an optical effect called afterimage. I think that this intriguing because the image stuck in our head from the combination of contrast of saturated colors is an optical illusion that is significant in other art forms. 3. In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color...
